If it wasn't clear before, it certainly is now: Baymax is the star of Big Hero 6.

Walt Disney Animation Studios released the second trailer for the movie Thursday. The clip begins with Tadashi Hamada (Daniel Henney) trying to build the robot, in the hopes of making Baymax (Scott Adsit) a healthcare assistant. But when his younger brother Hiro (Ryan Potter) inherits Baymax, he enlists the robot's help in taking down a mystery villain who attacks San Fransokyo. "Baymax's one programmed desire is 'How can I help?' He's filled with compassion," director Don Hall says. "Hiro is a teenager who has lost his way—their personalities play off each other in a way that is both funny and heartwarming."

"The story follows the emotional journey between Hiro and Baymax after the tragic passing of Hiro's brother," director Chris Williams adds. "Hiro grows really close to the robot, finds new hope in him and emerges from his despair." In addition to Adsit, Henney and Potter, Jamie Chung, James Cromwell, T. J. Miller, Génesis Rodríguez, Maya Rudolph, Alan Tudyk and Damon Wayans, Jr. also provide voice talent.

"At first, Baymax thinks Hiro is going through puberty, and he wants to help him with that," Hall says. "But then he realizes that Hiro's dealing with the loss of his brother and his mission is to heal his broken heart."

This is the first collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and Marvel Studios. The movie was inspired by the Marvel comic book of the same name. "When I was a kid, I loved Marvel comics," Hall says. "I was encouraged to explore the Marvel universe and one of the projects I found was called Big Hero 6. I'd never heard of it, but I liked the title and its Japanese influences—it just sounded cool."

Will Big Hero 6 surpass the success of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Frozen? Time will tell.

The animated feature film is theaters in 3D on Nov. 7, 2014.
