Melanie Griffith sent a strong message to her ex when she stepped out on Tuesday morning.
The 56-year-old actress opted to cover up her arm tattoo dedicated to her estranged husband with a bandage reading, simply, "Mel."
The blonde has been actively working to remove the famous tattoo, which featured Antonio's name surrounded by a heart on her right arm, since the news broke that they were separating.
In fact, the ink has been the center of attention since their breakup went public.
Griffith made her first post-split appearance at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy last month with what appeared to be makeup covering the actor's name.
Since then, she's been spotted out and about in Los Angeles wearing a bandage that covers up the artwork in question.
The famous duo announced that they were parting ways earlier this summer and released the following joint statement:
"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together - Melanie & Antonio"
This marks Griffith's fourth divorce and Banderas' second.
The two tied the knot in a small ceremony in London on May 14, 1996, just one month after both of their divorces to previous spouses were finalized.
