E! EntertainmentBrooke Burke-Charvet's Wednesday morning got off to a scary start.
The former Dancing With the Stars host was involved in a car crash in Calabasas, Calif., and took to Twitter about the frightening ordeal.
"Rough morning," she wrote. "Accident on my way 2 work. Tons of cops & of course photogs, TMZ will have fun with this one. Poor Mazeratti…yes I was sober."
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed to E! News that Brooke drove her car through a chain link fence after losing control of her vehicle on Las Virgenes Road.
The brunette beauty collided with the fence while driving northbound on the road after running into trouble with her car's steering.
A source tells E! News that "something happened with steering and she had to make the choice of going into oncoming traffic or go towards the fence off the road. She chose the latter."
Fortunately, there were no injuries and no other vehicles involved.
According to her rep, Brooke headed to the set of her next project, Melissa & Joey, immediately after the incident.
"She is fine," her rep told us.
It was recently announced that Brooke was joining ABC Family's hit sitcom Melissa and Joey for two upcoming episodes.
She'll star as Felicia, the ex of Joey Lawrence's character Joe, who stirs up some drama in his relationship with Mel (played by Melissa Joan Hart).
Her episodes of the ABC Family sitcom will air June 4 and June 11.
