Everyone could probably benefit from a little more advice from Ricky Gervais in life—including Justin Bieber!
Talking to E! News last night at the Muppets Most Wanted premiere in Hollywood, the British funnyman shared what his game plan would be if he managed the beleaguered pop star.
That is, if he could take on the role of manager, which he can't.
"I have trouble managing my own [career]!" Gervais laughed when asked if he would ever consider managing Bieber. "I give myself terrible advice!"
And though his suggestion that Miley Cyrus keep her tongue in her mouth was perfectly sound, the cocreator and star of the original, British version of The Office admitted that he doesn't want to be anyone else's boss.
"No, I don't think I could manage anyone else because it'd be too frustrating. I'm a control freak," he said. "So I can make me do what I want,. But I couldn't make other people."
He did have some sage wisdom for Bieber in light of the lad's recent troubles.
"I'd send him to bed," Gervais concluded. "I'd go, ‘Go to bed, Justin, go to bed.'"
