The boys of One Direction were unexpectedly asked to discuss pop peer Justin Bieber's recent arrest during Wednesday's BRIT Awards in London. Host James Corden joined the "Story of My Life" singers at their table inside the 02 Arena, asking the quintet, "Who was the first to visit [Bieber] in prison?"

Niall Horan laughed before Corden cut in and asked, "Did you tell him what guys do to people who look like him in prison? Did anyone send a text, Louis, saying, 'Lay off the bongs?'" Louis Tomlinson asked Zayn Malik to weigh in before advising Bieber, "Keep strong, and keep doing what you're doing."

Bieber jokes aside, 1D won the Global Success award for the second consecutive year. The boy band also took home the British Video prize for "Best Song Ever," which was decided upon via social media.

Harry Styles was M.I.A. when the group first took home its first award. "Has anyone seen the curly-headed one?" Payne asked the audience. Midway through his acceptance speech, Styles ran on stage. "I'm really sorry. I was having a wee," Styles said. "The toilets are ages away. Um, what did we win?"

In the press room backstage, an interviewer asked One Direction, "How much have you had to drink?"

"That's a question for you, Liam," said Horan, who was on crutches after undergoing knee surgery.

"I'll be honest. I'm feeling a little drunk," Payne admitted. "I feel amazing. I can't believe we're here again for the third time for our fourth award. It's absolutely incredible. We can't believe it."

Per Tomlinson's instruction, Payne began to beatbox as Horan rapped about winning the Global Success award. On a more serious note, Payne said it was nice to have the group together again. "This has been the first time we've seen each other in quite a long time, so it's been nice to...fill each other in on what we've been doing over the past few weeks," he said. "We've had a good time."
