The next few days New York Fashion Week are bound to be nothing short of fabulous.
After all, this is the time when the best and the brightest stars and industry insiders gather to take in the fresh new collections for the season ahead.
So when we had the opportunity to sit down with the one and only Manolo Blahnik and Simon Doonan, Barney's New York Creative Ambassador at Large, at an exclusive shoe signing in New York City, we jumped at the chance.
E! News correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi sat with two stylish gents and discussed (what else?) shoes!
Blahnik pointed at a stunning pair of embellished sandals and proudly proclaimed they were his favorite among the bunch.
"It's python and jewels!" he exclaimed with a smile.
Indeed they are!
And when it comes to heels, Blahnik takes every inch very seriously.
"To me, the higher the better!" he commented. "If I was a woman, I would wear flats in the morning, and in the evening…[my heels would be] high!"
And when asked for his favorite style icons of the moment, he quipped, "Lupita Nyong'o is a beautiful girl," before wistfully adding, "And I love Kate Moss forever. Kate can wear anything!"
He speaks the truth.
