Check your DVRS! Girls and Looking are on the move. HBO will air new episodes of the original series on Saturday, Feb. 1 to avoid the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 2.

True Detective will air a rerun at 9 p.m. on Saturday and take Sunday off. Girls and Looking will air in their normal 10 and 10:30 p.m. timeslots, just on Saturday, Feb. 1. Not watching the big game? HBO will rebroadcast the episodes in their normal Sunday timeslots.

In 2013, HBO also moved new programming to avoid the Super Bowl.

HBO isn't the only network to move programming away from the game. ABC, CBS and NBC won't be airing new shows with the exception of a Dateline scheduled for 7 p.m. on NBC. However, PBS will air new episodes of Downton Abbey and Sherlock. Last year PBS aired a new episode of Downton Abbey up against the Super Bowl and attracted close to 7 million viewers.

Given the stiff Sunday non event competition during February and March, CBS's The Good Wife will be off until March 9, the week after the Oscars. Currently, HBO has new Girls and Looking scheduled to go up against the awards show on March 2.
