Carrie Preston, The Good Wife

The Good Wife is bringing back Emmy winner Carrie Preston for another go around set to air this March and they've got something big planned.

When viewers last saw Preston's Elsbeth Tascioni she made a grand entrance on a treadmill desk where she took a meeting with Lockhart/Gardner pre-Florrick/Agos split. A source told E! News exclusively that the show has another comedic scene planned for the character and it involves a bear, Will Gardner (Josh Charles) and…Times Square?! What has TV's zaniest lawyer gotten herself into this time?

Look for Preston's Elsbeth to meet up with Will in Times Square—the Lockhart/Gardner New York expansion seems to be moving right along!—and have a very charged encounter encounter with a "stuffed bear." Yes, you read that right. We're hearing it could be a sort of anti-Semitic encounter. Additional details are scarce, but the episode will likely air in March.

This could be Preston's last Good Wife appearance for the year. Production on the final season of True Blood will kick into high gear in 2014. Preston won the 2013 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her work on The Good Wife. It was her first nomination. She can also be seen on Fox's The Following in 2014.

Preston took to Twitter to share the above photo from her Good Wife dressing room right before the holidays.

Other Good Wife season five guest stars have included Gary Cole, America Ferrera, Nathan Lane, Jeffrey Tambor and Jordana Spiro. The Good Wife ended 2013 with its 100th episode and a bit of a cliffhanger. Marilyn (Melissa George) told Eli (Alan Cumming) and Veronica (Stockard Channing) that her baby will be named Peter. Peter just so happens to be the name of her boss, Governor-elect Peter Florrick (Chris Noth). Hmmm…

New episodes begin promptly in 2014 on Sunday, Jan. 5.

The Good Wife airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on CBS.
