Comedian Katt Williams has always been known for his funny side. But it looks like he has a pretty charitable side too.

Following a performance in Boston on Sunday, Williams gave a wheelchair-bound woman in attendance $1,000 after learning the fan badly needs a kidney transplant.

According to TMZ, which obtained a photo of the fan holding up the money and a note given to her by Williams, the generous gesture took place after the comic's security team saw the woman crying in the audience.

She explained that they were merely "tears of joy" because it was the first time she had laughed since being told by doctors that she needed a new kidney.

The woman was subsequently brought backstage to meet Williams, who briefly left the room, only to return with a stack of bills wrapped up in a piece of paper that read, "God never leaves."

She called the comedian's good deed an "awesome surprise."
