The start of a new school year means fresh duds and supplies, so why wouldn't you also switch up lunchbox food?

Catherine McCord has a simple idea for updating the classic PB and J. She suggests breaking down your kid's snack into sandwich sushi rolls—no fish or sticky rice involved!

Take one slice of whole wheat bread and use a roller to flatten it. Next apply a thin layer of cream cheese and strawberry jam (or any fruit preserve of your choice).

Then, roll the bread neatly, use a knife to slice into mini rolls and you're done!
