Selma Blair, Hair

Selma Blair stepped out in Studio City, Calif., this week looking noticeably…lighter.

We mean her hair, of course: The usually brunette actress, who's been rocking raven-black locks for most of her career, showcased a golden blond ombré style while out with son Arthur and ex-boyfriend Jason Bleick.

The actress looked comfy and casual on the playdate, wearing an easy shirtdress, red bikini top and sneakers while toting her adorable 2-year-old. The trio took in the sights at a local petting zoo, getting up close and personal with animals like Guinea pigs, goats and chickens.

Blair's not the only celeb who's gone blond in recent weeks: Julianne Moore recently lightened up on the set of her latest movie Maps to the Stars. While we prefer Moore's classic redhead look, we have to give her kudos for going all the way (roots and all). Other stars that have lightened up for summer include Chrissy Teigen, model Candice Swanepoel (who went platinum), Anne Hathawayand Demi Lovato

So why the new 'do? Maybe Selma's looking for a change since exiting the cast of Anger Management after a much speculated dispute with costar Charlie Sheen. Either way, we're loving the new look—it's fun and airy for summertime.

It seems Selma has been lying low since the clash, enjoying frequent summer outings with her son and (possibly) reconnecting with Bleick—although, just two weeks ago, Blair denied an engagement on Twitter. While there is no official word on a reconciliation, we think the pair looked cute and cozy as they coparented on their day trip with Arthur.

What do you think of her lighter look?
