Veronica Mars is leaving Neptune and heading to San Diego!

Creator Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell and the cast of the beloved WB series are officially set to appear at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 to promote the much buzzed-about Kickstarter film. Huzzah!

In an email to Kickstarter backers, the film's associate producer Ivan confirmed that Veronica Mars will have not one, but two events going down on Friday, July 19, both of which feature exclusive footage from the film, which is currently filming in Los Angeles. "We'd love to be there longer and meet more of you, but we'll be shooting late the night before," Ivan explains, "and as soon as we're done, we'll turn around and come back to LA for our final day of production."

Set to appear on the official Comic-Con panel? Thomas, Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Jason Dohring, Tina Majorino, Krysten Ritter, Chris Lowell, Percy Daggs III and Francis Capra. Oh yeah, it's officially a Neptune reunion! During the panel, Marshmallows can expect to get inside scoop from Thomas and the cast. Plus, most of the cast (aside from Bell, as the email notes, "She just gave a birth a few months ago. You heard about that, right? We need to make her get some rest.") will be doing a signing at the Warner Bros. booth.

But that's not the only Veronica Mars event going down that day! Our very own Kristin Dos Santos will be moderating a special fan event on Friday evening, which will be attended by all of the panelists and will provide fans with even more exclusive footage and some surprises. Bonus: You don't have to be registered for SDCC to attend the event, which will be held at Horton Plaza—Regal Cinema.

Also addressed in the email? A big cameo! We exclusively reported that Justin Long will be making an appearance in the film, and Thomas reveals to backers who he will be playing: "Here's an exclusive detail that we didn't share yet: the actor who appeared on set this week will appear in the movie in the role of Drunken Wingman," he wrote.
