"It was hard," she told the Telegraph. "When Marc and I decided to separate, I thought, 'I'm not going to let this turn me into someone unhopeful who doesn't believe [in love] anymore.' I don't want to just survive it. I wanted to grow from it. And I did learn a lot."
Indeed, the singer has completely bounced back in love and her career. Currently dating dancer-choreographer Casper Smart, the star's biggest battle now is over buzz that her stage costumes are too sexy. Something she has a long history with—dating back to her iconic 2000 Grammy's dress.
"I don't think I'm any racier than any other female pop artist. OK, I'll wear a sexy outfit, but I think it's more because my body shape's a little different to other body shapes, so that's not very fair," the 43-year-old says.
