To go with its storied history of mob bosses and pit bosses, Sin City is welcoming a Cake Boss to the famous strip.

TLC star Buddy Valastro is set to open his first restaurant this fall. A partnership with restaurant vets Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla, Buddy V's will be located in the Venetian Las Vegas.

The food will draw inspiration from Valastro's family gatherings and recipes passed down through the generations. "People always just think of me as a baker, but beyond the bakery, food has always been at the center of my family's life," he says.

Look for a menu including new twists on Italian-American classics, as well as family specialties with names like Sunday Gravy and Lisa's Linguine.

Of course, Buddy V's will also offer a vast dessert selection with treats like zeppole, cannoli and his famous so-called lobster-tail pastry.

The new 11,000-square-foot space will have sweeping Strip views and will be located conveniently adjacent to Barney's New York for some après-dinner shopping.

How's that for a sweet plan?
