When it comes to all out glamor, no film festival is quite as swanky as the Cannes Film Festival. While Sundance's red carpet uniform is jeans and scarves, Cannes is strictly suits and ball gowns.

But it is only the truly stunning couture looks that cause a photo frenzy. Such was the case back in 2009 when Angelina Jolie arrived in a silky nude Versace gown while on the arm of a tuxedo-clad Brad Pitt. Or last year when Eva Longoria pulled out all the stops in a breathtaking Marchesa gown.

Of course, one of the most jaw-dropping moments of the 2012 gala was when Kristen Stewart become the belle of the ball in a sexy Reem Acra gown. You know an even event is glitzy when it can get the actress to ditch her beloved converse at least for a few hours.
