Lesson of the day: Never wear makeup when interviewing Joel McHale. Learn from our mistakes, people!

We chatted with The Soup host and Community star on the red carpet at NBC's upfront presentation in New York City and our stomachs still hurt from laughing. So. Darn. Hard.

So what was McHale saying that had us crying off our mascara? Well, it had something to do with new Late Night host Seth Meyers and the word "boner." Oh, and don't worry, Community fans, we were able to stop laughing long enough to get McHale to discuss the sitcom's renewal...and possible movie!

Community's Renewal: While NBC canceled many of their comedies, the cult favorite series is returning for a fifth season. "We feel like we walked off a battlefield, and went, ‘Hey, we made it. We survived. Look at this, we're alive!'" McHale joked of surviving the network's cancelations. "We're very excited!"

Seth Meyers' Boner: McHale crashed our interview with Meyers earlier to congratulate him on his Late Night gig and he had nothing but kind words to say about the Saturday Night Live star. Including the word boner! "I think it is the exact right choice. I think he's terrific. You can see the poise he has for SNL is pretty remarkable. He's one of those guys...that's got that weird gene or bone, or boner, that you need to have to host a late night [show]," McHale gushed. "There's a lot of funny guys, but there's only a few guys that can do that thing. Boners."

And if his thoughts on Meyers weren't clear, he then added, "So what I'm saying is: Seth's perfect and he has a huge d—k." Hey-o!

Late-Night Future: Though we think McHale would be a perfect late night host, he's not thinking about making that transition any time soon. "Well, hopefully Community will be on another two or three seasons and then we'll have a movie!" #sixseasonsandamovie indeed!
