We've gone through an entire awards season full of fashion hits and misses and it is the red carpet of the Oscars where stars are really expected to bring their fashion A-game. No mistakes, no wardrobe malfunctions, no flaws. On Hollywood's biggest night, they proved to us that nobody is perfect.
The always entertaining Helena Bonham Carter walked the carpet with Tim Burton wearing a black-and-white layered Vivienne Westwood dress that suited her eccentric persona (but not the red carpet), while Salma Hayek's over-the-top vampy Alexander McQueen gown and its heavily embroidered neckline were just a little bit too much.
Fan Bingbing made the loudest red carpet statement in a bright fuchsia ball gown with accessories to match. But it was the loveable Melissa McCarthy's custom David Meister Signature gown and its overabundance of silk jersey that really garnered critics' attention, and the hair didn't help.
Do you think these stars could have done better?
