We can only guess what Dr. Phil McGraw has to say about whoever stole his car (presumably the words idiots and morons are involved).

But McGraw can sleep soundly tonight after detectives assigned to the Taskforce for Regional Autotheft Prevention found his 1957 Chevy Bel Air this morning in good condition and with only minor body damage, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed Tuesday.

The talk show host's vintage ride was one of 19 cars that have been recovered in L.A. County as part of a TARP investigation into theft rings involving classic cars in which the perpetrators burglarize repair shops and switch vehicle identification numbers to avoid detection.

They have so far identified 14 of the found autos, according to a statement released by Det. Jess Corral, who says numerous suspects have been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

McGraw's car, said to be worth roughly $80,000 was swiped from American Hot Rodz in Burbank on Aug. 26. The shop was offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information to help track down their famous customer's set of wheels.
