Robin Roberts isn't used to letting herself go weightwise, but that's about to change.

Returning to New York City after attending her mother's funeral in Mississippi, the Good Morning America cohost reveals she's been ordered by doctors to get plenty of rest—and pack on a few pounds—in preparation for her upcoming bone marrow transplant.

"Back home in NYC. Will rest a few days. Doctors orders to put on a lil weight...that's a first. Transplant now sched for next week. Onward," Roberts tweeted.

The morning show anchor has been on medical leave since Aug. 30, but has been issuing constant updates to her followers regarding her health as well as that of her elderly mom, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts. The latter passed away last Thursday, prompting Roberts to postpone her surgery.

We wish her good eatin' and a speedy recovery.
