Ethan Miller/WireImage.com Fantasia Barrino may have had a scandalous pregnancy, but she's thrilled that her baby is coming soon.
The American Idol alumna, who was labeled as a homewrecker and blamed for splitting up her baby daddy Antwaun Cook's marriage, called into The Wendy Williams Show to dish about her upcoming labor, her due date and what sex her baby is.
So is she having a girl or a boy?
Fantasia surprisingly revealed what she is having after Wendy asked her the sex of the child.
"I'm having a boy," she said. "I'm at home. I'm on bed rest right now, so I'm watching a lot of Wendy Williams right now."
The singer also revealed she's due on Dec. 29.
"End of the year," she said.
Despite being so open, she refused to discuss her current status with Cook, instead making a kind of groaning noise when Wendy asked if they were still together. It was unclear if she was annoyed at the line of questioning or if the two have split.
"You're funny. I'm really not focusing on that today. I'm really focusing on the movie. My name is all I have and my word is my bond," she said.
Fantasia did however want to talk about the reports that have been swirling about her upcoming biopic on Mahalia Jackson and how the gospel singer's family no longer wants her to portray the singer because she is having a baby out of wedlock.
"I haven't spoken to this family. I haven't heard anything from the family. That was my first time hearing anything about it. I almost went into labor," she explained.
Fantasia said she hasn't heard from producers about the status of the project or if she will still be starring in it.
