Gilles Marini may want to take home the disco-ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars, but that doesn't mean he's hoping Melissa Rycroft's injury forces her to drop out of the competition.
"If Melissa cannot perform anymore, I am so not happy," Marini told me this morning. "Melissa brings something special to this place. I want her to be back."

Len Goodman was so impressed last night that he said the French are now going to be known for their Lindy Hop. Not bad, huh?
[Laughs] That may be not the perfect thing to say, because I'm just going to tell you that French people do not Lindy Hop. This is just a French guy who moved to America a long time ago that does the Lindy Hop. I am already getting so much s--t from my friends saying, "You're making the Lindy Hop famous in France in one day!"
What about Carrie Ann saying she was happy to see you showing your comedic side? She wasn't sure if you had it in you.
Marc, I'm a goofy man! That was like, what? That's very easy for me.
The men on Team Mambo surprised everyone with their bit of cross-dressing. Chuck Wick said it was to one-up your shirtless number.
Let me put it this way, I'd rather be in a very tight Speedo than wearing those things they wore…I know they were pretty much making fun of me. Cheryl had the very idea of me not wearing my shirt once, so now everybody everyday cracks on me. But yesterday, they topped everything I could have possibly ever done. I could walk out naked there, and it's not going to look that crazy.
So does that mean you'll try dancing naked next week?
Oh, no, no, no. I am so far away from the character [in Sex and the City] who is sexy and shows some skin. But Cheryl and everybody else knows that the more you show in the show it's better for the audience. But you know, I'm this family man who is very boring compared to what is on the dance floor.
Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker told E! Online it's "very possible" you will be back for the Sex and the City sequel.
I also heard that last night from my wife that she said something very positive. If I get the phone call, I will jump right into the pool…And I know so much more about acting now. I am so much more ready for challenging things because of the experience I'm having on this show. I'm more ready than ever. This morning, I am going to see some execs at ABC for a TV show. Things are rolling. Things are rolling very fast.
