As his romance with Meghan Markle blossoms, Prince Harry is all smiles.
Just two days after issuing a public statement simultaneously confirming his relationship with the Suits actress and calling for her privacy, he arrived at the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday for his first official royal event since the news broke. The field is an annual memorial garden where people can place wooden tokens decorated with poppies to honor members of the armed forces who were killed in action.
Alongside his grandfather Prince Philip and dressed in a Household Division black embellished coat and cap, the 32-year-old British royal appeared to be in high spirits during the event as he mingled with veterans and met with a 6-year-old boy whose uncle was killed while serving in the Royal Artillery in Afghanistan in 2008.
While Princess Diana's younger son remained focused on the cause of the day, his private relationship with Markle has been a topic on everyone's mind since Kensington Palace issued its lengthy statement on Tuesday.
While the two have been subtly seeing each other for just a few months already, a source tells E! News an engagement may not be so far away.
"It wouldn't surprise me if he's already thinking about engagement just because that's where his head goes but that's not where the relationship is at right now," the source said. "This is totally Harry. The problem with Harry is when he falls, he falls hard. He goes in big time."
"Meghan would say it's serious too, both of them do think that way," the source added.
Perhaps Prince Harry will be arriving to royal events with a plus one soon.
