When searching for a home away from home, a new crop of celebrities are trying Airbnb to make their temporary real estate dreams come to fruition.
Even Hollywood's rich and famous can't have their own personal mansions in every city they visit. As a result, an increasing number of notable names have turned to the international booking service to set up camp at state-of-the-art residences whether it be for business or pleasure.
Take Mariah Carey for example. The Grammy-winning musical icon needed a home to hunker down in while on the European leg of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy World Tour.
While the 18th century Lake Como villa she stayed in typically comes with a hefty price tag of $12,250 a night, Carey enjoyed the picturesque property courtesy of Airbnb.
"This gorgeous #LakeComo stay was a #SweetSweetFantasy, courtesy of @airbnb!" she wrote on Instagram in April.
And a sweet, sweet fantasy it was! The villa featured eight bedrooms, 11 flowing fountains, a bell tower, pool terrace, indoor gym, home theater, billiard rooms and playground for her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Months earlier back in the states, Beyoncé was busy gearing up for her standout performance at Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco.
However, before she got in "formation" in front of thousands, the "Hold Up" singer prepared in a $10,000-a-night 12-acre estate in the Los Altos Hills of Calif. with sweeping views of the entire San Francisco Bay Area.
No matter what she may have needed, the property housed virtually every amenity, from five bedrooms and more than eight bathrooms to an outdoor fireplace, vanished edge pool, spa, fitness center and adjoining orchard.
With 60 fruit trees, we're willing to bet at least one of them grew a few lemons. "It was a Super weekend Airbnb," she wrote on Instagram.
It was certainly a "super" spot as Justin Bieber dropped his bags at the San Francisco mansion a month later. "Thanks for hooking me up, @airbnb," he wrote on his since-deleted Instagram account.
When Britney Spears wanted a weekend away, she soaked up the sun from a Malibu mansion courtesy of Airbnb.
Along with her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, the Las Vegas headliner enjoyed the amenities of a $30 million beachfront mansion with five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.
However, it was the beautiful backyard that Brit and her boys truly enjoyed, spending afternoons at the lap pool and hot tub.
"What a day!" she captioned this video of the kids playing in water while she lounged on a nearby chair. Can you blame them?
When it came time for Gwyneth Paltrow to vacation in style in the first month of the new year, she jetted off to Punta Mita, Mexico with her children Moses Martin and Apple Martin, boyfriend Brad Falchuk and the keys to a lavish Airbnb seaside estate.
With six bedrooms, two infinity pools and a home theater, there was more than enough room for the actress and her loved ones to relax in the $40,000-a-week rental.
Did we mention the estate's personal chef? The best-selling cookbook author could truly bury her feet in the sand and leave the farm-to-table meals to the paid pro.
Plus, with both an indoor and outdoor dining tables seating 12 people each, they were never short a chair.
For recent birthday princess Kylie Jenner, the new 19-year-old needed a glamorous spot to host her birthday festivities this year. Low and behold—this 35,000 square feet Pearls of Long Bay Estate in Turks & Caicos.
Kylie and her gal pals got to enjoy the three-house compound and 23 bedrooms at the $50 million property courtesy of Airbnb.
"thanks for the gift of a lovely birthday home, @airbnb " she wrote on Instagram.
With a full gym, tennis court, sauna and two private pools, it was a lovely birthday home indeed.
