All good things come to an end, but all good things don't always have good endings. Will that be the case for Downton Abbey? We asked the stars that very question: Will fans be pleased with the ending of the Crawley family's saga?

"I do think so. I think what [creator Julian Fellowes] has done is given the audience a chance to say goodbye to every one of their favorite characters, they all have a little moment and you can see where their life is going to take them," Elizabeth McGovern, Lady Cora on Downton Abbey, told E! News. "I think that people will be satisfied; it remains about the characters toward the end."

Could we be getting a Six Feet Under-esque ending for the Crawleys? Click play on the video above for more scoop from McGovern about the big changes and big goodbyes on Downton Abbey. Meanwhile, Mr. Carson himself Jim Carter said he's not sure if fans will be happy, but they will be satisfied with how things come to a close.

"We don't all get blown up in a gas explosion or get abducted by aliens or anything like that, but the stories are tied up rather elegantly and we sort of wave goodbye to these characters everybody has grown so fond of in a satisfying way," Carter said.

Downton Abbey's final season begins Sunday, Jan. 3 on PBS.
