Bye, bargain burgers! We knew thee well.

McDonald's is kicking their Dollar Menu to the curb in the new year, in favor of their new McPick 2 menu.

So, what's the deal? Beginning Jan. 4, just in time to break any New Year's resolutions we've established, you can select a pair of items for a total of $2.

The choices include: a McDouble, a McChicken, small fries, and mozzarella sticks.

According to reports, after a 5-week run, the offerings may be adjusted.

Mickey D's attempts at Dollar Menus and Extra Value Menus haven't proven to be the most successful over the years, as for whether the $2 pairing will be the hit they've been looking for, remains to be seen.

But they certainly have our mouths watering with the new items they're trying out, like fried churros and extra-thick gourmet burgers.
