What a transformation!
Blake Shelton rocked an adorably nerdy look when he was in high school.
New, previously unpublished childhood photos show the 39-year-old country star, The Voice coach and upcoming Kids' Choice Awards host sporting glasses, a large gap on the side of his front teeth, a little bit of baby fat, some flannel and, oh yeah, a sweet, sweet curly mullet.
Shelton graduated from Ada High School in his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma in 1994. About 17,000 people live there now.
Shelton said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2014 that about 400 students were enrolled at the school when he graduated.
"I mean, it wasn't totally inbred," he joked.
"There wasn't a lot to do so you either played football in Ada, Oklahoma or you had dreams of sitting in the red chair, I guess," he joked, referring to The Voice.
After graduation, Shelton packed up and moved to Nashville.
"I mean I was playing the guitar by the time I was 15," he told Jimmy Kimmel. "'Cause Garth [Brooks] was from that area and Reba McEntire was from just a few miles away from where I was from, so it was like, there was hope you could make it in country music."
Shelton sported long hair for the first few years of his music career and had it cut short about 10 years ago.
