Cory Monteith may be gone, but he will not be forgotten.

Two years after the 31-year-old actor was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room after suffering from an overdose, the late actor's girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele took to Twitter to pen a touching tribute.

"Today we remember the laughter and joy you brought into our lives every day. We think of you always and love you so," the 28-year-old actress captioned the silhouette pic of Cory. Additionally, the hashtag #2YearsWithoutCory was trending worldwide on Twitter.

Monteith, whom Michele met on the set of Glee in 2009, passed away two years ago on July 13. The coroner ruled that the actor died of an overdose, officially referred to as a mixed drug toxicity, with heroin and alcohol being among the substances found in his body.

Since his untimely passing, the Scream Queens star has found love with boyfriend Matthew Paetz, whom she met on the set of her "On My Way" music video in April 2014.

In May, she posted a thoughtful Instagram to her man wishing him a happy birthday in addition to thanking him for "making me smile again." The message came just one week after Michele gave Monteith a shout-out on what would-have-been his 33rd birthday.

"There is an empowerment that comes with grief—at some point you find it," the actress revealed to Ellen DeGeneres in 2013 of how she's coping with the tragedy. "It's very hard but you will find it, and I think at a certain point you can choose to sort of fall from this or you can choose to rise. And that's what I'm just trying to do my best for him, because I know that that's what he would have [wanted]."

She also told opened up about her loss in a 2014 Seventeen cover story. "I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction—unfortunately, it won. But that wasn't who he was. Cory made me feel like a queen every day," she said. "From the minute he said, 'I'm your boyfriend,' I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful."
