America, get  ready to be mortified.

I Wanna Marry "Harry," Fox's buzzed-about new reality dating competition, makes its royal debut tonight, introducing viewers to 12 women who really, really want to marry Prince Harry. (Take. A. Number.)  The only problem? The guy at the center of the series is Matthew Hicks, a Prince Harry look-a-like, a mere commoner who has now been thrust into the spotlight, thanks to show's ridiculously awesome premise.

"It's bizarre, that's for sure," Matthew Hicks told E! News at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. "It came to me about a year ago. I put some pictures online on a look-a-like website, and the production company found me, came up with the idea and said, 'Let's do it!'"

Yes, becoming a reality TV star is a easy as having red hair and a devilish smile these days.

Of course, there's already been a lot of snark on social media about the contestants not realizing that Hicks isn't the real Prince Harry. And, you know, for them thinking Prince Harry would actually do a reality dating series.

"It was a confusing situation and the whole process was actually really elaborate to bring them around to that thinking," Hicks said, attempting to defend the 12 contestants for not knowing he was an imposter. "Don't blame it on the girls."

What a gentleman!

But has Hicks met the real Prince Harry? Watch our exclusive interview with TV's hottest new redhead above to find out!

I Wanna Marry "Harry" premieres tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox.
