Is it just us, or have the streets of New York City gotten that much chicer thanks to Taylor Swift?
Taylor is currently in NYC, living a pretty typical, humdrum life for a 24-year-old city girl—shopping at Lord & Taylor, picking up groceries at Whole Foods, and, you know, getting followed by a slew of paparazzi.
But of course Taylor isn't running all these casual errands in sweats and a tattered tee. She's been turning NYC into her own runway, sporting a different "city chic" look every day of the week, and we've been keeping track.
Just yesterday she stepped out in a crisp oxford shirt, blue blazer, tan skinnies and an orange purse, and she brought her cat, Meredith, along for the ride. Nestled in a pet carrier, Meredith appeared to be having a typical lazy Sunday.
And even though the weather has been nasty up north, that hasn't stopped Taylor from looking polished. She braved the rain on Saturday in a black umbrella, a black skirt and a J Brand leather jacket.
On Friday March 28, Taylor donned a green wool coat over a polka dot shirtdress paired with red booties and a red crossbody bag. On Thursday she sported eggplant J Brand skinnies, a tan peacoat and a chunky plaid scarf, and on Wednesday she relied on a chic bowler hat to keep her hair in place during the windy afternoon.
Tuesday Taylor hit up Whole Foods in an all-black ensemble and some yellow fingerless gloves. And on a particularly cold day on March 19 Taylor bundled up in an oversized olive green toggle coat, ankle booties and a navy blue beanie.
Clearly, Taylor is killing it in the NYC street style department these days. Finally, someone can give Miranda Kerr a day off!
