Fixing for another hit of Nurse Jackie? Your wish is Showtime's command!

The Edie Falco-led dramedy has been renewed for a sixth season, the network announced today.

"Nurse Jackie is an essential part of the Showtime brand, and we are thrilled with the series' growth in its fifth season," Showtime president David Nevins said in a statement. "Under the new leadership of Clyde Phillips, and with an amazing cast led by Edie Falco, this show is as sharp and compelling and entertaining as ever. I'm excited to get to see the next chapter in Jackie's life."

Season six should be interesting, because without giving too much away, the finale (airing June 16) ends on a note that will surely have fans yelling at their television.

Nurse Jackie has enjoyed a steady flow of Emmy nominations since season one, with Falco winning the award for Lead Actress in a Comedy in 2010.

Excited for more Nurse Jackie? We are! Let's celebrate in the comments.
