Quentin Tarantino is not only an award-winning director, but he's also a master party-thrower.
The 46-year-old Inglourious Basterds guru treated his cast to an afternoon of pre-Oscars fun at his home yesterday with music, pizza and lots and lots of booze...
"It's truly a celebration," Eli Roth told us yesterday on the 2010 Academy Awards red carpet, joking, "We're [already] wasted. That's the only way to do the carpet. You don't want the filter on. You want to incinerate that filter of appropriate speech before you go down a carpet."
All laughs aside (we think), Roth gave us the deets on what went down inside the small get-together. "At 2 o'clock, we all gathered at Quentin's house, and we had pizza and champagne and cupcakes," he said. "Quentin deejayed and played '70s music...That exemplifies everything about him."
"I was DJ—all records, all vinyl," Tarantino told us a few minutes later. "Rather than just sit around in a limo line for two hours, let's get together for one last celebration."
It sounds like Quentin's mini bash was almost the perfect way to start off Oscars night. Only thing missing? Brad Pitt, of course!
