Last night's republican debate—filled with outrageous quotes from Donald Trump and lots of emoji-like facial expressions—was nothing short of exciting, but the Internet's attention seemed to drift away from the actual discussion itself and onto something a little easier on the eyes: the hot guy sitting behind moderator Jake Tapper.
Twitter went nuts over the hunk, getting #HotDebateGuy trending nationwide with discussion of his chiseled cheek bones, deep-set eyes and perfectly placed hair…but one question remained: who is this mystery GOP hunk?
His name, ladies and gentlemen, is Greg Caruso—the 24-year-old son of California real estate billionaire Rick Caruso, former USC football player and aspiring filmmaker (could he get any more perfect?).
The 6'2" hottie from Los Angeles—who withheld from revealing his current relationship status—isn't on Facebook or Twitter (which really sucks for all of us professional stalkers) but was informed by his friends about the trending topic, getting a slew of text messages during the debate.
"It's pretty hilarious," he told CNN. "Social media can focus on some guy at the debate instead of the debate."
So you've piqued our interest now, Greg…please tell us your thoughts (from your impeccably shaped mouth) about the discussion.
"I think out of everyone, [Jeb Bush] improved the most from the first debate," he said. "Carly Fiorina did a great job and was in her element. That was the highlight of the debate to watch her. She held her own."
Caruso says he's a fan of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, but he's still not ready to decide which candidate will get his vote.
The rest of the country was pretty adamant about the Hot Debate Guy going for the presidential candidacy himself, claiming he was the "real winner" of last night's debate.
Here are just a few of the best tweets about it:
