Florence Welch can't just shake this off, unfortunately.
The Florence + the Machine singer revealed today that she didn't escape her epic Coachella set this past weekend unscathed—in fact, she broke her foot when she jumped off the stage!
"I'm so sorry to say, that after what was one of my favourite shows ever at Coachella, I have discovered I have broken my foot from leaping off the stage," Welch lamented on the band's Facebook page, complete with a psychedelic pic of a foot X-ray. "Unfortunately while this heals, my performances will have to be somewhat stripped back."
"I'm so sorry, I'm pretty devastated, but I still want to do the shows," the persevering English artist continued. "I understand this is not what you were expecting, but I hope its just as enjoyable. I'm going to try and make it super special for you."
It's OK—your fans will forgive you if you can't go barefoot a handful of times!
"By the time Glastonbury rolls around I should be back on my feet," Welch concluded. "This album was so much about making something from what was broken, so lets see what we can do with this.
"All my love, Florence."
The lineup for the 2015 Glastonbury Festival—taking place June 24-28 in Pilton, England--was just announced today, in fact, with Florence + the Machine front and center along with Kanye West, Foo Fighters, FKA twigs, Pharrell Williams, Azealia Banks, Lionel Richie and more.
The resting-the-dogs days have just begun, but we wish Ms. Welch a speedy recovery!
