Childhood sweethearts Joel Burger and Ashley King were in the early stages of planning their wedding when they got the surprise of a lifetime.
After learning of the couple's story and their fabulous names, Burger King had a plan up its sleeve—and popped the big question to the engaged duo via Skype.
The fast food chain asked if they could foot the bill for the July 17 nuptials, leaving both Burger and King completely speechless.
After taking a moment to react to the news, the blushing bride exclaimed, "Oh my God, it's going to be crazy!"
"When two people find each other and celebrate their union with family and friends, that one day of celebration becomes a lifelong memory. We're honored that Dave and Ashley have made the Burger King Brand a part of their relationship from the start and we want to help make sure their wedding is a unique and memorable experience," Burger King's CMO, Eric Hirschhorn, explained in a statement.
He added, "When we heard about the happy, Burger-King couple, we felt an overwhelming urge to celebrate their upcoming marriage. On so many levels it felt like fate; they found each other and their story found us."
The soon-to-be husband and wife have been friends since the fifth grade, and even announced their engagement earlier this spring by taking a photo next to a Burger King sign near their hometown.
