Anne Hathaway made sure to take some time out of her busy schedule to pay a special visit to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
The Oscar winner surprised the young patients and shared some heartwarming moments on Wednesday afternoon.
In one photograph, the 31-year-old grinned widely as she posed with a young girl named Breanna. The actress also gave a little boy named Tyler a touching embrace in another sweet snapshot.
Hathaway, who is a longtime supporter of the hospital, also treated the children and their families to an exclusive screening of her newly released film Rio 2.
Hathaway provides the voice of the parrot Jewel, the rare blue macaw in the kid-friendly animated flick. The film also features the voices of Kristin Chenoweth, Rodrigo Santoro, Jesse Eisenberg and Jamie Foxx.
"I loved the people who have asked me to do it [Rio] and it's been an honor," she gushed to About.com. "I've worked on The Simpsons twice and now I've worked with Carlos [Saldanha, writer and director of the film]. I just keep getting these opportunities that I can't say no to. No one could."
