So You Think You Can Dance Backstage Scoop: Which Solo Was "Horrid"?
Tonight on So You Think You Can Dance we learned that while a remarkable solo can save a dancer in danger, a totally terrible solo won't necessarily get you sent home if you have already banked enough "star moments" and sex appeal in the minds of the judges.
We've got the scoop from behind the scenes at SYTYCD that reveals why a "very good" dancer went home in place of the dancer with one of the most unchoreographed and random solos in recent memory...

Joel McHale on New Love Interest: "Eat That, Patrick Dempsey!"
Joel McHale is still hot for teacher!
NBC confirms to us exclusively that former Grey's girl Lauren Stamile, who recently appeared in Community's Halloween episode as Jeff's (Joel) stats teacher, will return for a multiple-episode arc later in the season.
"Lauren played Patrick Dempsey's love interest on Grey's Anatomy and is now my love interest," Joel tells us. "So eat that, Patrick Dempsey!"
(Did we ever mention how much we love Joel McHale?)
But wait a minute. When we last saw Lauren's character Michelle, Jeff was desperately trying to hook up with her and it didn't seem to go anywhere.
So what happened? Well, we just hit the Community set and here's the juicy secret...
Hey, Modern Family, Stop Stealing All the Funny!
Time for another ab workout, my friends!
Modern Family airs tonight on ABC in what just might be the best episode yet...Did someone say Ed Norton and Elizabeth Banks? Oh yes they did.
And newsflash: We just got off the horn with Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cameron, and it sounds as if this show is just getting funnier.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the evidence:

Hilary Duff Is Gone From Gossip Girl; Find Out Who's Hooking Up Next!
Ladies and gentlemen (and gentlemen who sleep with two ladies), Hilary Duff has left the building!
That's what I'm hearing from Gossip Girl sources, that the Duffster (Olivia) is no longer a part of the CW series and there are no plans for her to return this season.
Will she be missed? The jury's still out.
So now that things have gotten all messy on Gossip Girl thanks to that two-week-long threesome (talk about a workout!), what will happen next?
Are Nate and Serena really on?
Who's gonna be smooching Dan?
And what does Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) have to dish about filming the threesome with Hilary and Penn Badgley?
Backstage at DWTS: Joanna Admits Her Shocking Elimination "Sucks"
That's gonna leave a mark.
In what can only be called the most jaw-dropping elimination so far this season on Dancing With the Stars, Joanna Krupa (who Carrie Ann Inaba thought might win) was sent packing last night.
We were backstage after the show and can tell you Joanna was feeling the sting.
"Being so close, it sucks not being able to go to the finals," Joanna tells us. "But I guess it is what it is."
Still, part of her saw it coming. "It was a hard competition and I knew that tonight anything could happen, so I was prepared for it."
Oh, and you won't believe who she and partner Derek Hough think may win…
Melrose Place Brings Four Original Castmembers Together for a Pah-tay
Ain't no party like a Melrose party!
And according to my sources, that is precisely what we'll get a little later this season on the CW's Melrose Place, as not one, not two, not three but four alums from the original series will convene on the famous complex to party down.
Clearly, Heather Locklear is one of them, as she made her triumphant and bitchtastic return tonight. (Can that girl still rock a miniskirt or what?) And according to sources, Locklear will appear in all but one of the remaining episodes of Melrose's first season (there are 18 total).
I'm told Heather will be joined by three other Melrose Place alums in the 16th episode...
This Just In: Neil Patrick Harris Should Rule the World
Not So Horrible: In case you turned off the Internet yesterday, you may have missed the news that Neil Patrick Harris joined Twitter. NPH finds Twitter a fascinating and strange new medium for his comedy stylings. See above for proof.
Whee, Glee! New instant-classic Glee music is available online, including a version of "Lean on Me" (we're already preparing to cry during this TV performance), a fabulous pop "Crush," and "I'll Stand by You," which we have to guess (just guess) is Cory Monteith's Finn serenading Dianna Agron's Quinn about her pregnancy and such. Loverly!
Together Again? These new photos of Chace Crawford and Taylor Momsen filming Gossip Girl in New York remind us what a cute couple Little J and Nate were way back in season two. Anybody else want to see them rekindle something once Jenny turns 18?
Taking a Break: Julianne Hough told our own Ryan Seacrest she won't be back for Dancing With the Stars season 10.
American Music Awards: E! got the exclusive scoop that our girl Kristen Bell will be a presenter at the American Music Awards this weekend, along with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Colbie Caillat.

Is Ugly Betty Ending? And Who Gets the Girl?
Chris Gorham just twittered an hour ago that he's back on the set of Ugly Betty and that "Ana Ortiz's baby is beautiful."
This makes us worry.
Not because of the baby comment (we've seen Ana's Paloma; she's a living angel!), but because of what sources have been spilling about Betty's fate: That the end may be near and Betty's ghosts of suitors past are circling.
Although Gorham himself has clarified via Twitter, "I'm not back on Ugly Betty. Just dropped by to visit my friends," according to sources, he may be very soon...
Inside sources tell me that ABC has been working on ways to try to save Ugly Betty (including the possibility of moving it to Wednesdays, as previously reported); however, if ratings don't improve by mid spring, it's possible that Betty will be canceled in May.
To that end, one well-placed Betty mole tells me: "The writers have accepted that this season may be the last and are brainstorming endings now, just in case. The big question is: Who will Betty end up with? The writers room is deeply divided."
I'm told it's down to three contenders, and they are...

Will Arnett Coming to Parks and Recreation!
Gob Bluth is coming to Pawnee!
NBC has just confirmed to us that Amy Poehler's husband, the also hilarious Will Arnett, is coming to Parks and Recreation this season.
He'll come on board for one episode that will air in January. (Most likely Jan. 14, according to NBC, but no firm date has been set.)
This news comes after our report yesterday that Amy hinted Will might appear on her show. "I hope so," she told fans at a recent Paley Festival event for P-Rex. "I think you will."
So what is Will playing? Why is this the best TV news we've heard in a while? And what other guest star is coming on board?
Lost Season Six: "Who's Going to Live, Who's Going to Die?"
Want to know which questions are most likely to be answered by the final hours of Lost, which direction Josh Holloway's Sawyer might be going (romantically and otherwise), and why we fans need to be wary of double-talking producer doubles?
Well, good news then! Lost boss Damon Lindelof and the rest of Bad Robot movie and TV mafia came out to party Monday night at the beautifully lit Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, which was all decked out for the gala DVD/Blu-ray premiere of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movie. And while the new Star Trek movie is straight awesome, we got so excited by all the TV talent present that we had to also ask them a few burning questions about the final season of Lost, which is set to premiere on ABC in just about two months.
The guys were kind enough to put up with our inquiries, and we're sharing the scoop they spilled about your burning questions...
Jennifer Morrison Talks About Her Exit from House and If She'll Be Back...
Fans who tuned in to tonight's episode of House saw Jennifer Morrison's Allison Cameron walk out on both her man (Jesse Spencer's Robert Chase) and her job at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital. So Cameron's gone now, and gone for good, right? Well...maybe.
Confusion continues to reign about the future of Cameron on House, and when we caught up with Jennifer Morrison tonight at the Star Trek DVD/Blu-ray premiere party, we got the feeling that Morrison herself was pretty unclear on whether or not she'd be back.
She's got her head held high, though, and here's what she actually said tonight on the red carpet at the beautiful Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles:
