Nicollette Sheridan may be so over Desperate Housewives, but for the fans out there who heart Edie Britt's slutty ways, what does that mean for the show? We chatted with longtime castmember Shawn Pyfrom and potential newbee Mindy Sterling to make sure D.H. isn't gonna start sucking with Nic's departure.

After all, Eva and Teri can only kiss so many times before it starts looking pathetic:

"Well, for a fifth season, we're not doing too badly," chimed Shawn about having one of the original chicks bite the dust.

Nicollette was there from the beginning, though. Do you think her exit will mess with the chemistry on the set?
I doubt it. I think the show still holds the same vibe that it did before.

How blunt, we love it. And we know Nic is out of there, so are you happy she's gone?
No, Nicollette's wonderful!

This kid is so PC, he'll go far. We're glad the show is shaking things up, but Sheridan's character was pretty damn entertaining. Someone is going to have large bra cups to fill, and word on the street is that Sterling might be that busty.

"Nothing's been set. I'm at the edge of my seat, and I hope it all comes through. I would love to be on the show," fessed Mindy at the hilar L.A. Comedy Shorts Festival when we asked if she's game for D.H.

We hear if you did jump onboard, you would be playing the "new bitch in town" to replace Nicollette. Is that true?
I don't know what type of character I would play. I'd love it!

Who else should join the cast? Anybody younger?
I think right now there might be too many people on. It'd be nice to have a bad kid on. Wouldn't that be fun, to see Dakota Fanning play a bad seed? You never know what's in Marc Cherry's mind!

What do you think, folks? Is Sterling a worthy Sheridan replacement? We're kinda stoked to see what this comedic chick can do.
