Pushing Daisies Lives On (In the Comic Book World)
Ned (Lee Pace) and Chuck (Anna Friel) may get a happy ending, but you'll have to wait for the Pushing Daisies comics if you want to see it.
Yes, the Pushing Daisies comics are coming, and although original reports had the show wrapping its storyline with Marvel, Pushing Daisies mastermind Bryan Fuller tells us exclusively, "We got a 12-issue order for a comic book for DC Comics. I think the comic book is great, because it has all the characters in it, and it starts a new story. It's basically Chuck, Ned, Emerson and Olive versus 1,000 corpses, so it becomes a zombie movie, but the zombies are articulate and smart and can do things that no other zombies can do. The Pie-Maker versus 1,000 corpses."

Pushing Daisies: What's Anna Friel's Next Project?
Tragic though it is that Pushing Daisies is done, we'll always have the stars and creators, even if they're not working together.
For example, we can soon hear Kristin Chenoweth on Fox's Sit Down Shut Up or see her on David E. Kelley's new legal dramedy, and Swoosie Kurtz stops by Desperate Housewives in a few short weeks.
But what about Anna Friel, who played the show's lead female character, our beloved Charlotte Charles? What's the next stop on her career train?
Well, after facing offers for not one, not two, not three, but six TV-series pilots (including I, Claudia and Eastwick), we've learned that Anna Friel has made a choice about her future, and the winner is...

ABC Delays End of Daisies, Eli and Dirty Sexy Money
Dying to know where the Piemaker and his beloved Charlotte Charles will end up when Pushing Daisies comes to a close?
Join the club! But apparently ABC is in no hurry to give the fans closure.
Sources close to the Alphabet network tell me exclusively that the remaining episodes for Daisies will not air until—wait for it, ‘cause you're gonna have to—this summer.
And that's not all. It's the same case for those two other much-loved but recently canceled ABC series: Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money.
Yes, word is Daisies' final three episodes and Eli and DSM's final four won't air until June at the earliest.
According to insiders, the original plan was for the final three episodes of Daisies to begin airing last Wednesday, but ABC decided to air reruns of Scrubs instead.
And what you really won't want to hear is...

Sources: Daisies, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Canceled
Update, Friday, 10:54 a.m. PST: Press play above to see Kristin Chenoweth explain who and what should take the blame for the untimely death of Daisies.
ABC has canceled Pushing Daisies, executive producer Bryan Fuller has confirmed to me exclusively.
"I just heard the news," star Kristin Chenoweth tells us in an exclusive interview tonight. "Obviously it's a bittersweet night." (Keep reading for much more from Bryan and Kristin.)
According to our inside sources, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money also have been canceled. Reps for both shows have declined to comment. However, sources who work on Eli and DSM say they were informed today the shows would not continue.
So what happened? And is there any chance these characters will live on?

Is Pushing Daisies Really Dead?
If anyone knows anything about life after "death," it is ABC's Pushing Daisies.
So despite reports today in The Hollywood Reporter and Variety that it "may be on its deathbed," I can tell you that Daisies is not dead. At least not yet.
But the clock is ticking—with a loud, boisterous boom. And here's what ABC sources and executive producer Bryan Fuller tell me...
Did ABC Just Cancel Pushing Daisies?!
No, no, no. A thousand times no.
This is what I can tell you hundreds of panicked fans who have emailed in this evening after hearing a fast-spreading rumor that Pushing Daisies has been canceled.
I've just checked in with very reliable and well-placed sources connected to the show, who tell me that ABC has not yet informed producers whether the series will end after its initial 13-episode order for the current season.
In fact, show runner Bryan Fuller confirms to me tonight that he has not received any word yet on the show's fate.
Still, there is some truth to the rumor going around...
Pushing Daisies Is in Danger! Can It Be Saved?
The facts are these:
Pushing Daisies needs your help.
Production on episode 13 of season two begins Monday, and that is the last episode currently ordered by ABC for this series. So far the Alphabet network has given no indication to producers that a full-season pickup is coming.
Yes, the Emmy-winning fairy tale could very well end in just a few weeks, and if that were the case, no one who loves good TV would live happily ever after.
Is the situation really as dire as it seems? And can anything be done to save Ned the Pie Maker and friends?

Pushing Daisies: Ed and Lost Star Is Chuck's Dad!
Updated (Oct. 29): Press play above to see Charles Charles for yourself!
He's aliiiiiiive! Chuck's daddy, that is. And, well, perhaps "undead" is the more appropriate term.
Warner Brothers Studios and executive producer Bryan Fuller confirm to me exclusively that Josh Randall—who played Ed's BFF Mike on Ed and Nathan on Lost (the tailie who was offed by Goodwin)—will play the long-awaited role of Chuck's father, Charles Charles, on ABC's fantastic dramedy Pushing Daisies. (Keep reading for an exclusive sneak peek of his "invisible" new look on the show.)
I'm told Josh first appears in episodes eight and nine, "Comfort Food" and "Lighthouse," and that he may very well return for more episodes after that.
How many more episodes?
Lee Pace Is Pushin' Daisies
Please, please, please watch Pushing Daisies tonight (at 8 on ABC).
Yes, it's critically acclaimed, it has Emmys and it's TV's most enjoyable confection, but it still needs all the Nielsen-ratings love and affection it can get.
I actually just talked to the fabulously good Lee Pace, and he had some interesting things to say about the show's likely future...
Mmmm...Pie! Pushing Daisies Boss Dishes on Tonight's New Season
Oh, happy day! Pushing Daisies finally returns in just a few short hours.
What's that you say? You didn't watch last year? Well, fear not 'cause after a very long, strike-induced hiatus, ABC is relaunching this dramedy as if it were its very first season. Meaning anyone can (and should) watch.
So what's the inside skinny on the new season? Pushing Daisies boss Bryan Fuller was kind of enough to share some juicy details...
Is Kristin Chenoweth Dating Jeff Probst?
Wait a minute. Is Kristin Chenoweth dating Jeff Probst?
Last night at the ET/People party, I asked Emmy's first Reality Host winner (that's Probsty) about the rumors regarding the Emmy nominee, and he told me: "All I will say about Kristin Chenoweth and I being romantically linked is that I have kept secrets on Survivor for 17 seasons. Am I keeping one now? You tell me."
Sly bastard. But you aren't gonna get away with it that fast, Mr. Tiki Torch Snuffer! The girl that's so divine Will Arnett wants to put her in his pocket, Kristin herself, hit the carpet only minutes later and told us exclusively exactly where things stand with her romantic entanglements. Check it out in the video above, where she also talks about her throwdown at the car wash with Holland Taylor.
Then keep clicking for video of Lee Pace's true feelings about winning (Warning: You will like him even more)...
