Bruce Springsteen Greets Ohio...in Michigan

He may have been born in the USA, but Bruce Springsteen could use a good map.

The Boss pulled a Britney Spears during a Friday night concert when he shouted, "Hello, Ohio!"...to a crowd in Michigan.

The 60-year-old geographically challeneged "Badlands" crooner referenced the Buckeye State three separate times during the gig at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

That was until E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt stepped in and saved him.

"I just grabbed him and said, 'You don't realize it, but you're saying Ohio and we're in Michigan.' He said 'What?!?' " Van Zandt recounted to Rolling Stone. "In his mind he knew he was in Detroit, but somehow Detroit wound up in Ohio for a minute."

While the mixed-up Springsteen probably felt like he was born to run at that point, he just grinned and rocked on through a three-hour concert.

Carrie Prejean Discusses Christian Boobs

Carrie Prejean's boobs are full of faith.

At least that's what she's claiming.

The 22-year-old dethroned former Miss California took a stand for Christians with breast implants everywhere, telling Christianity Today that the Bible is all for her pageant-bought boobs.

When the outspoken beauty queen was asked about her implants coinciding with her Christian faith, Prejean said, "I don't think there's anything wrong with getting breast implants as a Christian. I think it's a personal decision. I don't see anywhere in the Bible where it says you shouldn't get breast implants."

Oscar Comes Early for Lauren Bacall, Roger Corman & Gordon Willis

There's nothing like an Oscar to kick off the holiday season.

Iconic actress Lauren Bacall, B-movie maven Roger Corman and Godfather cinematographer Gordon Willis all picked up golden guys Saturday night at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards.

The Academy broke the tradition of its March on-camera distribution of honorary awards, and instead held an off-camera, black-tie banquet for the trio at the Grand Ballroom above the Kodak Theatre.

Producer John Calley, famed for The Da Vinci Code and Catch-22 among other films, was also honored with the Irving J. Thalberg Memorial Award.

The recipients were cheered on by a megawatt crowd that included Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Tom Hanks, Jack Nicholson, Kirk Douglas, Ron Howard, Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, Morgan Freeman, Jeff Bridges, Quentin Tarantino, Anjelica Huston and Alec Baldwin, who will cohost the 82nd Annual Academy Awards ceremony with Steve Martin on March 7.

Britney Spears Riles Up Fans Down Under

Britney Spears Kevin Mazur/Getty Images

Britney Spears brought the Circus to town, but probably not the way she was hoping to.

Fans have been complaining about the quality of the pop tart's performance Down Under, even walking out of her show in Perth, according to reports in the Australian media.

The cause? Disgruntled concertgoers apparently accused the pop tart of lip-syncing during the dance numbers, as well as giving a lackluster performance overall, according to the Daily Telegraph.

One story even claims she was "boring."

John Mayer, who is in Australia promoting his album, joined the pile-on Sunday night, tweeting, "If you're shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you."

And what were Brit's people saying? Read on...

JoBros Miss Swiss Concert Due to Nick's Sickness

Nick Jonas AP Photo/Evan Agostini

One thing the Swiss aren't neutral about? Jonas Brothers.

Unfortunately, Switzerland is going to have to wait a little longer for Nick, Joe and Kevin to rock the chalet.

The "Paranoid" singers pulled out of a concert Saturday night in Zurich after 17-year-old Nick Jonas fell ill with an upper respiratory infection, according to the band's Twitter page, which said the youngest JoBro had been "advised by his doctor not to speak or sing."

This is the first time the scream-inducing trio has ever canceled a show due to sickness, and the polite lads were apologetic to their fans.

On Sunday morning Nick thanked fans for their support, tweeting "I am happy to tell everyone that I woke up this morning, and I'm already feeling better! Thanks for all the prayers. Can't wait to rock Bilbao!"

And in other good news, the Disney Channel announced the band's series, JONAS, just got picked up for a second season.

It's Official! Octo-Mel Welcomes Latest Gibsonette

Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva Kevin Winter/ Getty Images

Maybe this is the real reason Mel Gibson won't be back for the next Mad Max: He's got more maddening things to worry about. Like diaper duty.

"This will confirm that Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles," publicist Alan Nierob tells E! News. "No further details are available at this time."

The 53-year-old Oscar winner confirmed he and the Russian-born singer were expecting during a Tonight Show appearance in May, dubbing himself "Octo-Mel."

He has six sons and one daughter with his estranged wife, Robyn. She filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage in April, when photos surfaced of the star and Grigorieva in Costa Rica, and he came clean on his affair.

Grigorieva, 39, has a son from her relationship with former Bond star Timothy Dalton.

Flu Knocks Out Elton's Tour

Elton John Jo Hale/Getty Images

Ticket holders for Elton John's Red Piano tour will have to have to wait a little longer to see the Grammy winner tickle his famed ivories.

The 62-year-old "Rocket Man" crooner was forced to cancel several concerts in the U.K. and Ireland and postpone three stateside gigs after he was doubly hit with an E. coli bacterial infection and the flu (the normal, not swine variety) last week.

John's doctor advised him to postpone dates in Seattle and Portland scheduled for early November to allow for more recovery time, according to a statement on the singer's official website

"Promoter Live Nation, The KeyArena and The Rose Garden were informed by management that Elton has been advised by his doctor to postpone these performances due to a serious case of e-coli bacterial infection and influenza," the statement said.

Sir Elton is being treated at King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London, according to the Daily Mail. The veteran performer was taken there Friday after his condition worsened and he was forced to cancel another performance in Dublin.

John's spokesman said Friday the singer was "bitterly disappointed not to [play] Dublin. He had picked Dublin to close the Red Piano worldwide, because of the great warmth of the people and the great concerts he had in the city over many years. He is hoping to reschedule the dates in the very near future."

Director Cuts Loose From Footloose Remake

Footloose Paramount Pictures

That Footloose remake is looking less and less like a High School Musical sequel.

First Zac Efron bailed. Now his HSM director, Kenny Ortega, who was set to helm the Footloose remake, is high-stepping away after having issues about the tone and budget of the dance flick, according to Variety.

The move comes just days before Ortega's next directing project, the behind-the-scenes Michael Jackson concert film This Is It, hits theaters.

"Coming off of the extraordinary project, Michael Jackson's This Is It, director Kenny Ortega has decided it is premature for him to commit to his next film and will not be moving forward with Footloose as previously reported," Paramount Pictures said in a statement to E! News. Neither the studio nor Ortega would comment on the reason behind his exit.

Production on the film is still set to commence in March, with Chace Crawford and Julianne Hough reprising the famed lead roles once played by Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer

Stars Take to the Streets for AIDS Walk

Sometimes there is a good reason for L.A. traffic.

Such was the case when major roads were blocked off in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon to accommodate the 30,000 participants making strides through the city for AIDS Project Los Angeles' 25th Annual AIDS Walk.

Celebrities including Felicity Huffman, Mary-Louise Parker, Aaron Carter, La Toya Jackson and E!'s Girls Next Door stars Crystal Harris and Kristina and Karissa Shannon hit the streets to join the event, which commemorated a quarter century of AIDS activism.

The momentous fundraising event pulled in a whopping $3.1 million for APLA.

"Through good times and bad, the AIDS Walk is still a steadfast source of fundraising and awareness in its decades-long campaign to make AIDS history," Craig R. Miller, founder and producer of the event, said.

Criminal Charges Coming in Balloon Boy Case

Heene Family, Wife Swap ABC

Apparently the police were not amused by Balloon Boy or his high-flying hijinks.

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden says his office will file unspecified criminal charges in the case as early as Sunday.

The pronouncement came after his investigators spent the day questioning parents Richard and Mayumi Heene about the incident that went down Thursday.

The Heenes are not under arrest but deputies were seeking a search warrant for their home. More information is expected to be announced in a news conference Sunday.

Alderden has previously said that, if he discovered they were fibbing, he could only charge the Heenes with a misdemeanor for falsifying a police report. But because federal resources were used in the search-and-rescue mission, Alderden says he will confab with U.S. prosecutors to see if more serious counts could be tacked on.
