Jay-Z Spins a Comeback for DJ AM

Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's world is spinning back into control.

In what will be his first performance since being injured in a Learjet crash that killed four and also left Travis Barker with third-degree burns, the celebrity DJ has signed on to play with Jay-Z Wednesday when the rap superstar's tour touches down at the Hollywood Palladium.

AM suffered severe burns to his scalp and an arm in the Sept. 19 accident. Except for showing up at memorial services for Barker assistant Chris "Lil Chris" Baker and security guard Charles Still, who died in the crash along with pilot Sarah Lemmon and copilot James Bland, AM's public appearances have been kept at a minimum.

Before he gets his comeback groove on tomorrow, it's likely that he'll be showing up tonight at a benefit being thrown in his honor at Hollywood's Avalon nightclub. Tickets cost $20 and all proceeds will be donated to the families of the crash victims.

AM's schedule picks up further down the road: The in-demand turntable pro is also on the guest list (along with Mandy Moore, Chelsea Handler, Katey Sagal and others) for an Oct. 18 luncheon fundraiser at the Beverly Hilton honoring Candy Spelling for her work with the immigrant-aid nonprofit Friendly House, and he's slated to play the Oct. 29 launch party for Ultimat Vodka at L.A. hot spot the Kress.
