First Bachelorette Baby

Trista and Ryan have a brand-new Bachelor sequel on their hands.

The first and hitherto only made-for-TV couple from ABC's long-running The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise to marry, Trista and Ryan Sutter are now the first and only show alumni to reproduce.

The couple welcomed a boy named Maxwell Alston Sutter on Thursday, according to Us Weekly. The baby was born a few weeks ahead of schedule in their hometown of Vail, Colorado, weighing in at 5 pounds, 3 ounces.

"He's perfect and beautiful, and everyone's doing great," Trista, 34, told the magazine of her firstborn.

Trista, 34, and Ryan, 32, had been trying to conceive for two years before announcing their pregnancy in February.

The couple did not want know the child's gender, the new mom said.

"I'm a fan of surprises, so my love of surprises outweighed it. For the first one for us, we just want a healthy baby."

The former Trista Rehn, now a purse designer, married her Bachelorette sweetie Ryan Sutter, a firefighter, in December 2003, in a million-dollar extravaganza that aired on ABC. The two hooked up a year earlier during the inaugural season of the reality spinoff.
