Sometimes a curse can turn into a blessing—just ask Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker.

The estranged couple has managed to do what Nick Lachey & Jessica Simpson and Carmen Electra & Dave Navarro before them could not—namely, beat the so-called MTV curse that makes mincemeat of any couple unlucky enough to have their love chronicled, reality-style, by the music net.

And, as far as splits go, that of the former Blink-182 drummer and his former Miss USA missus was a doozy.

However, it all seemed to be water under the bridge last week, when the twosome were snapped making lovey eyes and various other body parts at each other all over Miami Beach, culminating in festivities held Saturday night when Barker hosted a star-studded 32nd birthday party for Moakler at the Cameo nightclub.

In addition to the reunited couple, Mark McGrath, Kimberly Stewart and music producer Scott Storch were present for the party. Not in attendance: Paris Hilton.

While a confirmation hardly seems necessary after a slew of photos showing the twosome kissing in both Miami nightclubs and beaches surfaced over the weekend, Moakler nevertheless took the opportunity Tuesday to set the record straight—on more than one issue.

Along with the photos, rumors of an impending stork delivery also surfaced on gossip sites. Moakler, however, quickly shot down the reports.

"While I hope one day to have more children with Travis, I am not pregnant," she told People. "But yes, I'm madly in love with my husband."

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant is singing quite a different tune than she was just months ago.

Barker filed for divorce from the beauty queen in August 2006, thus sparking a war of words on MySpace and a war of alleged assault in Hollywood nightclubs.

Shortly after the separation announcement, Moakler took to her MySpace blog, saying she was "devastated and very much heartbroken" but nevertheless had "no regrets" about her marriage.

The same couldn't be said for her Meet the Barkers costar.

A week later, the +44 drummer fired back, accusing his then estranged wife of neglecting their two children, partying till all hours of the night and cheating on him.

The twosome quickly removed the offending messages from their pages and all stayed relatively quiet on the divorce front until October 2006, when reports circulated that Barker was nursing his broken heart with a little help from Hilton.

It came to a head when Moakler and the heiress crossed paths at Hyde nightclub, a meeting that resulted in both women filing police reports claiming they were assaulted: Hilton claimed Moakler had punched her in the jaw and shouted at her, while Moakler said the Simple Life star's ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos bent her wrists, poured a drink over her and shoved her down stairs.

No charges ultimately came of the altercation...all's apparently well that ends well.
