Kase Townes Murray!
"Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby Kase Townes Murray into the world!" the proud parents wrote in a message on their official website. "We are overcome with happiness—it really is as great as everyone told us it would be—better even!"
Kase made his way into the world yesterday evening at 7 p.m. CST.
The couple, who have been open about their trouble with conception and who have been married for three years, announced the pregnancy back in January, but it hasn't all been smooth sailing. In March, rather scarily, Jewel was taken to the ER after the car she was driving was hit by a fire truck near her Stephenville, Texas, ranch. Luckily, both she and her unborn child escaped any injury.
Meanwhile, don't expect the new mama to take too much time off for maternity leave: she's currently serving as host and judge on Bravo's new reality competition Platinum Hit and come this August, rather fittingly, she will be releasing a children's music album, The Merry Goes 'Round.
