This is some serious boy-band bonding going on.

After coheadlining a successful trek this summer, the  New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are now joining forces in the studio.

And that sound you heard was a million teenybopper moms screaming.

The all-grown-up groups are planning on a joint greatest hits album, pithily titled NKOTBSB, featuring classic cuts from the two bands' catalog as selected by fans.

The album will feature the top five songs from each group as voted on at nkotbsbvote.com.

But that's not all. The collection, due out May 24, will also feature several new songs performed as a combined supergroup as well as a mashup of their hits similar to what the bands did in their joint onstage appearance at the 2010 American Music Awards.

The first single from NKOTBSB is "Don't Turn Out the Lights."

A day after the album's release, the bands will hit the road on a North American tour kicking off in Rosemont, Ill., and includes a June 11 show at Boston's legendary Fenway Park.

Hardcore fans who preorder the album by March 24 will get the chance to have their names printed in the album's packaging, which also includes an exclusive tour poster and photos from the boy band collaboration.

Eat your heart out, Tiger Beat.
