We're almost a full week into 2011 and it already seems like a whole new world: Taylor Swift is single! Khloé Kardashian Odom is a redhead! Celebs are getting busted for DUIs!

OK, so some things may never change. But that's what new year's resolutions are for, and who better than celeb BFF extraordinaire Gwyneth Paltrow to weasel out the self-bettering wishes of her closest pals?

So, how are Jay-Z and Jimmy Fallon hoping to change things up this year? Funny you should ask...

"I don't typically believe in waiting a year to 'resolve,'" he told Paltrow in this week's GOOPtastic newsletter. "It should be a daily thing, I'll say, to communicate on a deeper level with the people I love (not just in my music...)."

And then, because he's human, he added, "And not to eat french fries everyday!"

Can't say we were expecting that from rap's king.

Fellow pal Fallon also divulged what's on his annual to-do list.

"In the year 2011, I'm gonna lose 15 pounds, 10 pounds, 3 pounds," he said. "Three pounds is doable. I could totally lose 3 pounds. And I will quit introducing myself to people as Kenny Simon."

Celeb chef Mario Batali also weighed in with his new year's resolution, telling Paltrow that his goal was to "unplug completely on Sundays from all Internet, emails, text messages and other social media and turn everything off except for the old-fashioned broadcast TV to watch a football game or two."

"Who knows where this may lead?? Family book reading?? Silly word games?? Comfortable stretches of quiet?? God, how nerve-racking the idea??!!"

We don't know. That no french fries thing sounds much more daunting to us.
