It's one thing to play a country singer. It's another thing to actually belt out a tune in front of the biggest names in the biz.

But that's just what Gwyneth Paltrow will be doing Wednesday when she takes the stage at the CMA Awards to perform "Country Strong," the title track from her upcoming film.

"I'm nervous, but I'm excited," Paltrow told E! News at the movie's Nashville premiere last night. "I think it'll be fun. It'll be a unique experience in my life, so I'm looking forward to it."

Fortunately, for the Oscar winner, she's got quite a famous fan base that will no doubt be cheering her on…

Tim McGraw, who plays her hubby in the movie, couldn't stop praising his silver screen spouse.

"It's like playing tennis with someone who's a lot better than you are," he said about working with the actress. "When they're that good and that professional, they sort of bring you up to their level."

Added costar Leighton Meester: "She's amazing. She's so talented and I was just in awe of her."

Country Strong opens in limited release Dec. 22 before going wide Jan. 7.
