Harold Gould racked up five Emmy nominations during an impressive career that saw him woo Betty White and share screen time with Lindsay Lohan.

The veteran character actor, best known for playing Valerie Harper's dad on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda, as well as the relentless suitor of White on The Golden Girls, passed away from prostate cancer on Saturday. He was 86.

Yet, Gould's work certainly didn't begin and end there…

The suave actor made numerous guest appearances on several TV shows over the course of his long career, including Hogan's Heroes, Hawaii Five-O, St. Elsewhere, Felicity and The King of Queens.

Gould also appeared in dozens of movies, including The Sting opposite Hollywood heavyweights Paul Newman and Robert Redford, the Woody Allen comedy Love and Death and, more recently, Freaky Friday with Lohan.

Rest in peace.
