Forget Bethenny vs. Jill or kooky Kelly. The newbie is horning in on the drama for The Real Housewives of New York City.
Sonja Morgan spent some quality time in a Hamptons jail cell over the Memorial Day weekend after getting collared for drunken driving.
(On the plus side, it's the Hamptons we're talking about, so we're guessing the local drunk tank is extremely well appointed.)
Here's what went down, according to local cops...
A spokesman for the Southhampton Village Police Department tells E! News that the 46-year-old Morgan was pulled over early Monday after running a stop sign in her BMW. Suspecting alcohol was a factor, officers administered a field sobriety test, which she failed. The Bravo reality personality was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Morgan was booked and released several hours later on her recognizance. She's due back in court June 21.
A rep for the divorcee was unavailable for comment. No word whether Bravo caught the caper on camera—even if not, we're sure it will become the latest talking point on what's been a made-for-the-watercooler season.
Morgan is the most recent addition toThe Real Housewives of New York City. She is the ex-wife of John Adams Morgan, the great grandson of famed Gilded Age financier J.P. Morgan and Catherine Adams, a great-great-granddaughter of President John Adams.
