Kim Kardashian Shuts Down Joker of a Suitor

Reality star obtains restraining order against Georgia man who has been popping up at all her events...in Joker makeup

Kim Kardashian is channeling Batgirl and putting the clamps on her own Joker nemesis.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has obtained a temporary restraining order against a "delusional" Georgia man who apparently has the habit of showing up at her various public appearances wearing Heath Ledger-esque clown makeup and scaring the bejesus out of her and everyone around her.

If it was supposed to be a joke, it sure was a creepy one.

According to court papers obtained by E! News, the prankster, identified as Dennis Shaun Bowman, is "a delusional fan who has been stalking and harassing Ms. Kardashian since at least October 2009."

"He has refused to cease contacting her despite demands from the LAPD and Ms. Kardashian's attorneys," reads the request.

 

Bowman, 26, reportedly began tweeting Kardashian in the fall and then moved from his home state to California supposedly to woo the 29-year-old curvaceous beauty (wonder what Reggie Bush would have to say about that?!).

Kardashian was advised to take out the protection order at the behest of Los Angeles Police Department's Threat Management Unit, which handles such cases.

Voilà. Now, Bowman is prohibited from having any contact whatsoever with Kardashian. He must keep at least 500 yards away from her or face the possibility of arrest, and he's also forbidden from possessing any firearms. A hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 3.

"We are very pleased that the court issued a temporary restraining order preventing Mr. Bowman from further harassing Ms. Kardashian," her lawyer, Jeremiah T. Reynolds of the firm Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert, tells E! News.

"This is exactly the type of potentially dangerous situation involving an obsessed fan that the harassment and stalking laws were designed to prevent."

In other words, Kim is getting the last laugh on this Joker.
