Katherine Heigl is going from rom-coms…to rom-drams?

The still-living Grey's Anatomy actress is set to star in Life as We Know It, a film about two singletons who must come together to raise an orphaned child, her rep confirms to E! News.

And fall in love, perhaps?

The film, set to be directed by Greg Berlanti, sounds rich with dramatic possibility, but the really interesting thing about it? The actress is coproducing the film with her mother, Nancy. Now that sounds like a movie, like Stop or My Mom Will Shoot a New Ending. (We kid; they actually have a very real production company together.)

What else has Hollywood got cooking?

MTV has announced a whole bunch of new series possibilities, including a sketch comedy show produced by Jamie Foxx, a reality show about Audrina Patridge from Survivor honcho Mark Burnett and a superhero comedy from Seth Myers.

But the most exciting MTV news? A series based on the Teen Wolf movies, that's all. Totally gonna be the new, hairier Twilight, right?

• Martin Lawrence is putting together an animated comedy about his life, says the Hollywood Reporter. No, not the juicy parts, but his early teen years in Washington, D.C.

James Bond is hunting for his Dream House. Daniel Craig is, per the Reporter, in early talks for the flick about a guy who buys a house haunted by those murdered there. Yes, another victim of the real-estate crisis.

• Zac Efron wants to thrill you. (As if he doesn't already.) The HSM3 actor has a thriller set up with Mandate, his rep tells E! News, and that's about all we know. But that's thrilling!
